Shrewsbury Sub Aqua Club offers a full range of BSAC courses and qualifications, which include:
See 'Calendar'for details of forthcoming courses
Please note that due to safety issues SSAC is not able to train children under the age of 12.
Due to safeguarding issues, SSAC is only able children between the age of 12 and 17 if:
a) they are children of active full diving members (it is usually acceptable for parents and children to train together) or
b) they are children with a close family connection to an active full diving member who is prepared to act in the parental role during all branch activities. This option is at the discretion of the Diving Officer of the club.
BSAC relies on its members becoming instructors to train the next generation of divers. BSAC divers learn to be instructors to 'pay back' the training they received. Instructing is also a great way to practise your own skills, develop teaching skills and meet new club members. It is a really rewarding experience. Instructor training is run by BSAC. Have a look at the BSAC website for more details.
We also run a range of extra skills courses, such as boat handling and chart work.
For more information, contact our Training Officer or see the Diary Dates section to find out when the next course runs.
