SSAC took to the Irish Sea over the bank holiday weekend to get the diving season well and truly going. Saturday was a bit dour and cold and the viability off Porth Ysgaden was not at its best, but we dived Carreg-y-Chwislen under the isolated danger marker buoy off Porth Dinllaen bay and then did a second dive off Port Ysgaden. Sunday was glorious and we headed over to Abersoch to dive off Porth Ceiriad for our first dive. The sea mist rose around about 11:00 to reveal a cloudless sky and the shallow dive site had good visibility. For our second dive we explored St. Tudwals East. Going to Abersoch proved a good call as we later learned the mist did nor rise on the north coast until late in the afternoon.
The dive gave us a chance to try our our new trailer and give the boat a good run after its winter service. A great weekend was had by all and its always nice to finish a dive with icecream!
