Boat Push

Pete Forbes has gone through his archives and found some interesting stories from the earl(ier) days of SSAC.  Over the next few weeks, I'll post his articles and photos for your perusal.

SSAC in the 80's

This photograph was taken taken in the eighties outside the Anchor Inn in frankwell.  The RNLI  fundraiser at the time was to raise funds towards a new inshore vessel. Some old faces still attend  the Bucks Head for a meal a pint and a chat (can you spot them?).    A tiring day out but well worth it,  the  club was able to purchase an inflatable which was secondary to the main diving platform. The RNLI received  a thousand pounds which was presented by SSAC club members and the swimmer David Wilkie.   Club members rallied around to make it a fantastic event.
